The quarter final stage of the Champions League kicks off Tuesday, and Arsenal host Real Madrid in the first leg of one of the four ties.
Arsenal are coming off a disappointing 1-1 draw at Everton over the weekend that saw the Gunners dominate the match statistics. Despite the let-down, the match actually extended the Gunners' undefeated streak across all competitions to seven games.
As for Real Madrid, they fell 2-1 at Valencia over the weekend, ending a three-match unbeaten run.
Here's what to know about Arsenal and Real Madrid before their second leg match.
Arsenal are well ahead in all-time victories against Real Madrid, winning one of two meetings.

"With the individual qualities that they have, especially when you put them in certain situations, you know the danger that you are facing. But that's the stage, it doesn't get much bigger than that. What they've been doing in this competition is they can create those moments, and when it comes to the biggest stage, individual performance of players can decide a game and are critical for your success and that’s something that we have to prevent."

“It will be about courage and personality. It means trying to do our best and staying motivated. An important aspect is to perform well in the match we've prepared for. It's very difficult to always be 100%. It's impossible. We've had a lot of injuries and that has made the rotations more difficult, which are more necessary than usual at the moment.”
Arsenal are likely underdogs to win the tie, but at home in the Emirates they have shown the ability to play as well as any side, and while they'll be missing Gabriel on the back line their defence should still prove frustrating for Real Madrid.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Real Madrid
