The first legs of the Champions League quarter-finals continue Wednesday with Barcelona taking on Borussia Dortmund.

Barcelona come into this match still unbeaten in 2025, with their last loss coming back in December. However, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Betis over the weekend in a match that could provide a blueprint for leaving the Estadi Olímpic with a result.

As for Dortmund, they are well down the table in the Bundesliga but could salvage a mediocre season with a deep run in the Champions League. The German side come into this match winners of their last two games.

Here's what to know about Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund before their second leg match.

Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund: What the managers are saying

Hansi Flick, Barcelona

(via Barcelona)

"Dortmund are a very stable team and they play very attacking football.

"But we have been playing well at home and away in the Champions League. It is always good to get a nice result in your own ground, but especially in the [Copa del Rey] semi-finals against Atlético Madrid, we showed that we can also win games away from the Estadi Olímpic."

Niko Kovac, Borussia Dortmund

(via Borussia Dortmund)

"Barcelona are certainly the favourites. But as you know, BVB were in the final last year - and no one expected that. In football anything is possible, especially when you're already in the quarter finals. And they're elite quarter finals. There are some great teams, including ourselves. And we've worked hard and fought hard for that. We might be going into it as the outsiders, the underdogs, but that certainly doesn't make it any easier for our opponents. We're confident in ourselves, and we have every reason to be. We're on an upward trajectory. In these two games - Barcelona will be coming to Dortmund as well - there's no doubt that we're in with a chance of reaching the semi-final."

Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund predicition

It's hard to see anything but a clear Barcelona victory in this one.

Prediction: Barcelona 3-1 Borussia Dortmund
