The quarter final stage of the Champions League kicks off Tuesday, and Bayern Munich host Inter Milan in the first leg of one of the four ties.
Bayern are unbeaten in four matches across all competitions, with three of those games ending in victories for the German side. They hold a comfortable lead in the Bundesliga title race, which should allow them to put their best foot forward in the Champions League, although several key injuries could significantly weaken Vincent Kompany's side.
As for Inter, they are also leading their domestic league, although their three-point cushion atop the Serie A standings is far less comfortable. Regardless, the Nerazzurri are on a 10-match undefeated run and should provide one of the stiffest challenges Bayern have faced so far this season.
Here's what to know about Bayern Munich and Inter Milan before their second leg match.
Bayern Munich are well ahead in all-time victories against Inter, winning five of eight meetings.

“They’re a team who always find their moments and are dangerous, not just on the counter. They’re also good in build-up and at set pieces. They score a lot of goals because they have good players. But so do we; we also score a lot of goals.”

"We know how our journey has been, we're not happy with the draw against Parma [over the weekend], we wanted to win but they came back in the second half. [Tuesday], we will face a great side, who I believe are the favourites for the tie, the lads know everything about what we have given to be here, we deserved to be in the quarter-finals. We have to approach this as a team and try to get a result at a difficult stadium to visit."
Given their lengthy injury list, this may be the most vulnerable Bayern have been all season. Inter could come away from the Allianz Arena with a draw.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 1-1 Inter Milan
