A pair of teams seeking their first win of the 2023-24 Champions League campaign meet Wednesday as Celtic face Lazio in Glasgow.
The Scottish side were on the wrong end of a 2-0 score line on the first matchday, losing to Feyenoord and also having two players ejected in the second half. It was a reality check for a team once again cruising in the Scottish Premiership, and now Celtic have the opportunity to try for a result at home against a struggling opponent.
Lazio are 16th in the Serie A standings after losing their most recent game, 2-0 at Milan, over the weekend. The Biancocelesti fared better on their sole UCL match thus far, snatching a late equalizer against Atletico Madrid to claim a 1-1 draw.
Will Celtic translate their dominant domestic form into a Champions League victory? Or will Lazio buck their recent form?
