We're halfway through Matchday 4 of the 2025-26 Champions League, and Tuesday gave us some big results.
Along with Arsenal and Bayern Munich continuing their perfect starts to the tournament, the day's big winners also included Tottenham, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
Here are some of the bigger talking points from Tuesday's Champions League action.
It was expected for the Gunners to win handily against Sparta Prague, and they did just that as they left the Czech capital with a 3-0 victory.
The Premier League side once again earned a clean sheet in the victory, their eighth straight shut-out across all competitions.
And, like they've been doing all season, the Gunners got key performances out of players who don't normally start — in this case it was Mikel Merino, who lined up as the central striker and scored twice to propel his side to victory.
Arsenal also had the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Christian Norgaard and Piero Hincapie in the starting lineup, and they all played a role in yet another victory for the North London club.
It's probably still too early to consider Arsenal among the favourites to win this competition given their lack of success in previous years, but they have certainly given the traditional big names a reason for concern.
Arsenal started it with their dominant outing in the early kick-off, and their victory was followed up by two more on the day by English teams as Tottenham routed Copenhagen, 4-0, and Liverpool earned a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid.
Spurs' four-goal outburst came by way of goals from Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Mickey van de Ven and Joao Paulinha, as the North London side were expected winners at home against the Danes.
The victory came with a cost though, as Johnson was shown red in the 57th minute and will not be available for Tottenham's Matchday 5 visit to Paris Saint-Germain. But that's a problem for another day.
Meanwhile, Liverpool were back to their best selves against the most successful side in the history of this competition as they were near-perfect in their performance, with Alexis Mac Allister's 61st-minute strike the difference in the game.
Tuesday's win comes at a massive time for the Reds, who are still shaking off a big slump and are suddenly winners of back-to-back games.
Interestingly, the three Premier League clubs that were in action on Tuesday all held their opponents scoreless. That's a big act to follow on Wednesday for Chelsea (at Qarabag), Manchester City (vs. Borussia Dortmund) and Newcastle United (vs. Athletic Bilbao).
Another team got its fourth win of the tournament on Tuesday as Bayern Munich went into Paris and claimed a 2-1 victory over PSG in a clash of heavyweights.
The storyline revolves around Luis Diaz, who scored both of Bayern's goals in the first half before being sent off at the stroke of halftime for a hard challenge on Achraf Hakimi.
Diaz's brilliance and recklessness defined the match as the Germans were cruising prior to his tackle thanks to his pair of goals, but the Parisians rallied in the second half and nearly made the man advantage count.
However, Bayern escaped the French capital with all three points and sent a message to the rest of the competition by defeating the defending champions in their own stadium.
Next up for Bayern is a massive clash against Arsenal on Nov. 26 that could be the match of the league phase.
