Chelsea left Selhurst Park with three points in hand thanks to a 3-1 victory over hosts Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Blues moved up to fourth place in the Premier League after the win, which was powered by goals from Estevao, Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez.
It marked their third straight victory in all competitions, following last weekend's 2-0 result against Brentford and Wednesday's 1-0 Champions League win over Pafos.
However, for all the good in Sunday's performance Liam Rosenior lamented the late goal conceded to Palace, which was the first goal allowed by Chelsea since their 3-2 loss to Arsenal in the opening leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals on Jan. 14.Â
"It's frustrating to not have a clean sheet in the last few minutes - I wanted three in a row and we should've got one, we were 3-0 up against 10 men," the Chelsea manager told the BBC.
"But there's so much good. I thought we defended from the front, we were organised and were very clinical. All credit to the lads.
"We can be better on the ball, especially in the first half but in terms of what I want to see from a team performance, it was a very good one."
Joao Pedro, who drew the 64th-minute penalty converted by teammate Fernandez in addition to scoring a goal of his own in the 50th minute, agreed with Rosenior's assessment of the overall performance and said the manager wanted more from the team in the second half.
"We knew this would be a tough game, they have a strong team," the Brazilian told Sky Sports. "We knew we need to win second balls and fight the whole game. We scored three goals, conceded, but get the three points.
"In the first half we could have played more with the ball, and did not control the game but at half-time the gaffer told us to keep going, play with intensity and when we scored the second we could breathe a bit."
