It's an all-London affair this weekend as Crystal Palace welcome Chelsea to Selhurst Park on Matchweek 23 of the Premier League season.

Palace have fallen off mightily after a decent start to the campaign, and they enter the weekend in 13th place amid a seven-match winless skid. If all competitions are taken into account, the Eagles are currently mired in a 10-game streak without a victory, and that includes a rather embarrassing FA Cup exit at the hands of sixth-tier Macclesfield Town earlier this month.

Palace have also lost the services of star central defender and captain Marc Guehi, who transferred to Manchester City in a £20 million deal. It's just the latest in a big sell-off by the club, who moved Eberechi Eze to Arsenal for £60 million in the summer and are shopping forward Jean-Philippe Mateta around to potential buyers.

The situation has left Palace manager Oliver Glasner to bemoan the lack of ambition by his own club, stating that the players and coaching staff "are being abandoned completely" by ownership, which is surely not helping the team's results.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's transition to life under new manager Liam Rosenior is going relatively well, with only a single loss (to Arsenal in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semis) thus far. The Blues are sixth in the Premier League and looking to move up into the Champions League places amid a very competitive group of teams from fourth all the way down to 15th, so picking up points in every match is of paramount importance to the new boss.

Crystal Palace vs. Chelsea: What the managers are saying

Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace

(via Crystal Palace)

“For us, we will need to be very, very consistent: don’t give them easy chances, because it's quite tough to defend all the quality of the wingers with Pedro, Estevão, Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens, whoever is playing. It's the same profile – everybody's quick.

“And then, with João Pedro, with Liam Delap, with Cole Palmer, with Enzo Fernandez always attacking the box from midfield and scoring goals from there, and Moises Caicedo the playmaker in midfield… I think it's not a massive change in the way they are playing.

“But on the other side, we faced them three times, I think, since I arrived with three draws – and now we will try to take the first win.”

Liam Rosenior, Chelsea

(via Chelsea)

"What I know is they're an outstanding team. Selhurst Park is, for me, one of the most difficult places to go. Look in the Premier League, you have to be ready for a physical battle. The atmosphere in the stadium's going to be red hot, so we're not taking a game lightly at all.

"I was fortunate enough to play against Crystal Palace early in the season. I know what a good team they are, and we're going to have to be very, very good to win again."

Crystal Palace vs. Chelsea prediction

Palace have not been impressive lately, but they've still managed to grind out some draws at home.

With Chelsea still finding their way under Rosenior, this match seems a prime candidate for split points, especially if Glasner can rally his players around an "us against the world" message.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Chelsea
