After two eye-catching performances, all that mattered to Renato Gaucho and his Tricolor soldiers was the result. A sterling, one-handed stop from Fabio was central to them getting just that.

The showdown swung from end to end. Then, suddenly, it catapulted into the Nerazzurri’s favour. Lucas Martinez Quarta saw red, Francesco Esposito quickly capitalised upon the numerical advantage, and a rare Alessandro Bastoni strike made sure.
