Estevao may not be only Europe-bound Palmeiras player after Club World Cup

There's no doubt that Palmeiras made an impression at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, from their passionate fans taking over city centres throughout the eastern United States to their opportunistic play on the pitch.

Verdão are now out of the competition after they fell 2-1 to Chelsea in the quarter-finals, but the impact of their time in the tournament continues to be felt throughout the squad.

It has long been confirmed that star teenager Estevao would be joining the Blues following the conclusion of the tournament, as the 19-year-old becomes the latest in a never-ending pipeline of young Brazilian standouts heading to elite European sides.

But another Palmeiras player caught the eye of a traditional European power thanks to his play in the U.S., as Richard Rios is drawing the attention of another Club World Cup participant in Inter Milan, according to calciomercato.com.

The report states that the Nerazzurri are among several foreign sides who have shown interest in the 25-year-old Colombian, who could cost a potential suitor €30 million or more to pry away from Palmeiras.

Inter might compete with their old manager Simone Inzaghi, now in charge at Al Hilal, for Rios' signature, along with Premier League side West Ham United.
