England will head into the World Cup as one of the favourites, having established itself as a nation that has consistently gone deep in recent major tournaments.

The Three Lions can boast of two Euro finals and a World Cup semi-final in three of the last competitions and come into 2026 having qualified without losing a game or even conceding a goal.
