After the sackings of Igor Tudor and Patrick Vieira, Fiorentina have made it three Serie A firings in a week after axing boss Stefano Pioli.
The decision comes with the club sitting 20th in the table, having failed to win a single one of their opening ten games of the season, with their latest defeat coming at home to the hands of Lecce on Sunday.
Pioli refused to resign in the aftermath of the game, but the club have ended his second spell as manager ahead of their Europa Conference League clash with Mainz on Thursday.
Daniele Galloppa has been placed in temporary charge, but which names could be in the frame to take charge in Florence?

The current favourite to replace Pioli is Roberto D'Aversa, but no talks have taken place as of yet between the club and the candidate.
D'Aversa has been out of work since being sacked by Empoli in the summer after failing to keep the club in Serie A, but he brings with him a wealth of experience in Italy's top flight.
He won promotion with Parma in 2017-18, and kept the club in the division the following season, before enjoying stints with Sampdoria and Lecce before his season with Empoli.

Fiorentina have reportedly already held talks with Vanoli over a vacant manager's post, but it's not clear how far down the line the prospective parties are in terms of an offer to be the club's new boss.
Vanoli spent two seasons as a player in Florence and, since going into management, has held posts at Spartak Moscow, Vicenza and last season, he guided Torino to 11th in Serie A
However, he left his post with the club in the summer and has since been out of work.

Reputations are quickly damaged in the management game, but Motta is still seen as one of the best young coaches around and could be tempted to return to Serie A with Fiorentina.
The former midfielder started his managerial career with Genoa and Spezia, but it was at Bologna where he really made his name. Leading the club to the best-ever finish in Serie A and Champions League qualification.
His exploits were enough to convince Juventus to appoint him as their new coach last season, but Motta endured a dismal spell in charge of the Old Lady and was dismissed in January following heavy defeats to Atalanta and, ironically, Fiorentina.
Refreshed and rejuvenated, though, he'll have a point to prove, and Florence could be the place.

De Rossi is the outside bet, with the former Italian international out of work since he departed Roma last year.
He was reportedly on Fiorentina's list to be their next boss in 2020, but De Rossi opted to wait for the job at his beloved Roma, where he spent two decades of his playing career.
Unfortunately, things didn't go to plan in the Stadio Olimpico hotseat, lasting just nine months before being sacked four games into the 2024-25 season.
