The two struggling sides meet this weekend.

Former Chelsea defender William Gallas does not think that the Blues will be able to beat Manchester United this weekend.

The two clubs have struggled in recent years, with Chelsea’s form falling off a cliff since the arrival of Todd Boehly.

New manager Mauricio Pochettino has already moved to criticise his players in public, while Erik ten Hag has banished Jadon Sancho from the sidelines, and betrayed the pressure he is under by banning a number of media organisations from press conferences this week.

The pair of them play one another this weekend as they have the chance, once again, to kickstart their season if they can conjure up a decent performance and result.

Speaking to Lord Ping, former France international Gallas thinks the two teams will draw at Old Trafford.

He said: “For the Chelsea players, this game is a good opportunity for them to show who they really are. It is a good opportunity to show they are ready to win and compete with the biggest clubs on a consistent basis in the Premier League.

“Even though Manchester United haven’t been brilliant this season, the fans will be behind them. I think it will be a draw. I don’t want to be disappointed again after what happened at Newcastle. Now, they need to go to Old Trafford and put on a performance. The two clubs look very similar at the moment. Both are inconsistent.”
