Genoa vs Napoli preview: Team news, prediction, date, and how to watch Serie A on DAZN

The transfer window has now swung shut, and full focus is on the second half of the Serie A season. There is a title chase to contend with as the top five try to catch the leaders, and a scrap at the bottom that is getting tighter every week.

Napoli got a much-needed morale boost following their Champions League exit by beating Fiorentina last weekend to keep up the pace at the top with the Milan clubs.

Antonio Conte's men are still nine points off the leaders and have Juve hot on their heels as the top five vie for European spots. 

This weekend, they head to a Genoa side that is still struggling for consistency in Serie A and has only won five games all season. 

However, Daniele De Rossi has made a stark improvement on the side since coming in as boss in November and would relish putting a final dent in Napoli's title hopes.

Genoa vs Napoli will take place at 5pm GMT  on Saturday, February 7,  in Serie A.

The hosts have doubts around Tommaso Baldanzi for the visit of Napoli, and goalie Benjamin Siegrist is also unlikely to make the squad.

Napoli 

Giovanni Di Lorenzo is the latest player to join Napoli's walking wounded and is a doubt for the game with a knee injury. The champions are still without seven first-team names, with only Vanja Milenkovic-Savic a possibility of featuring.

With half an eye on their Coppa Italia quarter-final on Tuesday, Conte still can't afford to rotate too much due to his depleted squad. However, they still should be too strong for Genoa, especially as Napoli still needs to keep up the pressure on the top two.
