Halifax produce dominant display to see off Braintree

Halifax turned on the style as they romped to a 4-0 National League win over Braintree.

After putting the visitors under plenty of early pressure, Halifax took the lead when Will Smith turned in Will Harris’s corner in the 36th minute.

Josh Hmami got the second from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute and Braintree’s resistance fell away when Harris got the third five minutes later, finishing off a counter-attack.

With time running out, Jevon Mills then scored the pick of the goals with a strike into the bottom corner of the net.
