There's been an ever-increasing influx of players who have swapped the Premier League for Serie A this season, with several notable names making the move during last month's January transfer window.
One of those names last summer was Arijanet Muric, who, after Ipswich's relegation in 2025, decided to end his career in England and experience life closer to the countries he grew up in, by moving to Italy's top flight.

Swiss-born but a Kosovian international, the goalie had several options after deciding to leave Portman Road, but shares it was the vision of coach Fabio Grosso that convinced him to join newly promoted Sassuolo.
"I had a good talk with my coach, Grosso," Muric told DAZN.
"He called me, and we had a good chat, and I was kind of very excited to come here and to do the project with him.
"It's near my home as well, and I like Italy as well, so I think it was a new experience for me to come to Serie A and to play.
"We talked about football, my perspective for the future and of course I wanted something new, and I just felt it was my heart to come here and play football in Italy.
Before his spell with the Tractor Boys, Muric spent two seasons with Burnley, but it was with Manchester City where he made his professional debut.
The goalkeeper joined the club's academy as a 17-year-old and had a front row seat to witness the City revolution under Pep Guardiola, and is where he got his first taste of first team football.
He made five appearances for the club in the League Cup, and to this day, he recalls his debut as one of his most treasured moments so far in his career.
"I remember when I was 19, I played for Manchester City in a cup game against Leicester, and it was a penalty shoot-out.
"I saved two of them and one of them missed, and we went to the next round and eventually we won the cup.
"So I think that was my proudest moment for me. I was very young, and my coach at this time was Pep Guardiola, so he believed in me and he gave me the chance to play.
"I can only say positive things about Pep. If he sees an obvious quality, he gives the chance to the young players as well as pushing them as well.
"I can't say enough positive things about him."

The move has brought Muric closer to home and it's that feeling he wants to establish at Sassuolo, after moving clubs several times in recent years.
The promoted club are currently sitting in midtable in the Serie A and back to winning ways following a sticky period over the winter months that threatened to derail their impressive start.
Victories over Pisa and Cremonese demonstrated their status as the league's strongest promoted side, and it's here where Muric hopes to stay for the long haul.
"I feel right now the move to Sassuolo is like a game of new energy," he added.
"I feel like a newborn. I can start again. I've changed a lot of clubs, but I didn't let my head down.
"Every time I try to do my best and stand up again. But now I'm here to stay and not feel like that again"
That new feeling continues this weekend when Sassuolo and Muric hope to continue their return to form when they host leaders Inter on Sunday.
