A pair of Premier League powerhouses meet in the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend as Manchester City welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium.
The teams return from the international break with an eye on the domestic trophy, which each has raised within the last few seasons.
For City, the last time they won the FA Cup was in 2023 as part of a historic treble that also included the Premier League and Champions League titles. The Sky Blues have already claimed this season's Carabao Cup and could add the FA Cup as they pursue another treble alongside their ongoing Premier League ambitions.
Meanwhile, Liverpool's last time raising the FA Cup was in 22, and a victory in this year's edition of the tournament is most likely their only shot at silverware during the current campaign.

“Since we won the first Premier League, we have now won six Premier Leagues now and won five [League Cups], seven semi-finals in the FA Cup and four finals.
“That defines the club, the consistency. In cups, all the time, you can have a bad afternoon. You are not always playing League One, League Two, or Premier League teams; you can have a bad afternoon, but it didn’t happen. Always we were there.
“That’s what makes me proud the most. You can win a title and make a good season. Seven semi-finals in a row and to fight for an eighth in the FA Cup is really, really good.”

"Unfortunately, the one game we are playing tomorrow was probably the worst game we had in the sense of playing the big games; we lost there 3-0. Of course, there were referee decisions involved in that loss that made it harder for us, but they were much better in the first half than us. I think, and I've said this many times, why we have shown many times that we are a good team in big games, but also in other games, is that we have very good players and we can play very good football."
Pep Guardiola's men were last in action in the Carabao Cup final, which they won over Premier League title rivals Arsenal.
The Sky Blues win trophies as a matter of course, and it's hard to bet against them even when going up against a side like Liverpool.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Liverpool
