Manchester City and Newcastle United renew hostilities this weekend for what will be their first of two meetings over the next few weeks.
Saturday's match is a Premier League contest, with Man City looking to inch closer to a faltering Arsenal side at the top of the table. The Sky Blues have won three of their last four league matches, with the other a draw, as they've closed the gap to five points while also holding a game in hand on the Gunners.
Meanwhile, Newcastle's struggles in the league have resulted in them entering the weekend in 10th place. However, the Magpies are on a three-game win streak across all competitions, including a 6-1 win in the Champions League over Qarabag FK in the middle of the week in which Anthony Gordon struck for four goals.

"I didn't speak one second about [the league title race] with my players. Yesterday and the day before, it's just Newcastle, Newcastle and Newcastle. I didn't talk about the table, I didn't talk about our position. I could not care less! It's 12 games [remaining]. It's 12 games, it's an eternity. Many things are going to happen. That's the only truth I have."
Eddie Howe, Newcastle

"I think we learn something about ourselves and our game going forward everytime we play them. They have been the benchmark for a number of years in the Premier League.
"I think you grow from it and that's what we try to do so then when we play other teams, we try to evolve and improve. A big mark to their consistency levels season upon season.
"I think they've been very good, led by an outstanding manager. They continue to be the benchmark."
The Magpies present a different kind of challenge as they come into this one the decided underdogs despite their better performances of late.
A confident Newcastle side could throw a wrench into City's plans, and it wouldn't be beyond belief if these teams split the spoils at the end of an entertaining affair.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-2 Newcastle
