When was the last time YOUR Premier League club won five games in a row?

Manchester United maintained their unbeaten start under Michael Carrick on Tuesday night, grabbing a last-gasp equaliser as they nicked a point in a 1-1 draw with West Ham. 

The result ended a run of four consecutive wins for the new United gaffer, and while he was disappointed to see that streak end, Carrick wasn't as deflated as the now infamous social star Frank Ilet, better known as the United Strand.

The social media star vowed over a year ago that he wouldn't cut his hair until Manchester United win five games in a row, which has left the poor chap now with an overgrown thatch on the top of his head. 

So, how feasible was Illet's vow? How often do top-flight clubs actually go on a five-match winning run? 

DAZN News crunched the numbers and had a look at the last time each Premier League side managed five consecutive victories. 

When did Manchester United last win five games in a row and who did they beat?

You have to go back to the start of 2024 for the last time the Red Devils won five games in a row, under Erik Ten Hag's watch. 

It began with an FA Cup win over Newport County, before league victories against Wolves, West Ham, Aston Villa and Luton Town. 

How long has it been since each Premier League club won five games in a row?

Of all the Premier League clubs, it's Chelsea who have most recently chalked up five wins on the bounce, with Leon Rosenior achieving that feat in his first two months in charge of the club.

The Blues won four league games in that run, beating Brentford, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Wolves as well as a victory in the Champions League over Pafos. 

In fact, 13 clubs have achieved the feat since Manchester United last won their five games, back in a run across February 2024. 

However, feel some sympathy for Brentford, whose fans have been waiting over FIVE years to see their team win five consecutive fixtures.
