Matchweek 16 of the Premier League season ended with a bang, as Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth fought to a 4-4 draw at Old Trafford on Monday.

It was the kind of match that drives managers mad while thoroughly entertaining the fans, as neither side was very interested in defending. What resulted was an eight-goal thriller that featured four leads as the clubs went back and forth looking to land the decisive blow.

Instead, they were forced to split the points, and both managers were left dumbfounded by what they had just witnessed.

"It's very difficult to explain because so much happened," Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraloa told BBC Sport immediately after the match.

"I suppose it was entertaining for everyone. Two teams that attacked much better than we defended. We played quite open, both teams.

"Everything happened even in stoppage time. A lot of positives."

Iraola's counterpart, Man United boss Ruben Amorim, was more scathing in his assessment as his side let three leads slip away in the stalemate.

"It's really disappointing, we are really disappointed," Amorim said. "Crazy game. It might look like we lost the two points in the second half, but I think we lost them in the first half.

"We dominated and created so many chances. We had to go to halftime with a different result.

"In the end, we deserved more. It was a fun game for everyone at home.

"People, especially at Old Trafford, want to win, but they want to be inspired to see a team play good football. We did that well in certain moments.

"It was a good performance, but we need to be more clinical because we created so many chances."
