It's been a rough few weeks for Manchester United, who now hope to end 2024 with a good result against visiting Newcastle United on Monday.
The Red Devils have lost three straight matches in all competitions, with two of those being Premier League defeats, and the honeymoon already seems to be over for manager Ruben Amorim.
Things don't get easier for the United boss, who must now prepare his team for a Magpies side that have won their last three league matches and are knocking on the door of the Champions League places.
Manchester United hold the advantage in all-time meetings, with 92 wins in 179 matches.
The Red Devils have not lost a league match at home to Newcastle since 2013.

"We have to fight against everything, because our supporters are always there. But they are tired of this moment. We have to expect that any play from Newcastle near our box is going to make the stadium nervous and our players have to cope with that. It is a very strong team, very fast, with a lot of pace and a lot of time with the same coach. We want to be competitive and try to win the game. That is all."

"They're very difficult fixtures regardless of when you go but I think, for us, we try and attack the game as we have done in recent weeks.
"We've had really good preparations to our games and the players seem to be enjoying themselves, entering the game with the right frame of mind to play.
"We've got to try and hit that sweet spot again without any distractions. I'm sure the players will be ready for the games."
Newcastle are playing the better football at the moment, but desperation for a good home result could be enough to propel Manchester United to a scoring draw.
Prediction: Manchester United 2-2 Newcastle
