AC Milan and new signing Luka Modric made a disastrous start to their Serie A campaign as they were turned over by newly promoted Cremonese in a 2-1 defeat at San Siro.

Despite registering six times as many shots as their visitors, the Rossoneri could not get the better of their visitors, who opened the scoring through Federico Baschirotto.

Strahinja Pavlović squared matters in first-half injury time to seemingly put the hosts back in charge, but Federico Bonazzoli's finish around the hour mark proved the decisive blow.
