Before this weekend, Callum Hudson-Odoi hadn't scored a goal since August.
On Sunday, he scored twice.
Hudson-Odoi found the back of the net in the 28th and 50th minutes as Nottingham Forest cruised 3-0 past a woeful Tottenham Hotspur side at the City Ground on Sunday, with Ibrahim Sangaré notching the game's other goal late in the second half.
Both result and his brace were a breath of fresh air for Hudson-Odoi, whose last goal came in the second week of the season against Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old praised his team for their effort all over the pitch as they climbed another three points away from the relegation zone, where they had spent several weeks earlier in the campaign.
"As a forward you want to be contributing as much as possible," Hudson-Odoi told Sky Sports immediately after the match. "It's been hard for me recently, but I'm happy today.
"Our mentality from the start was go, go, go. One hundred percent. From start to finish every single person was working their socks off. You can tell we wanted it.
"I'm delighted, it's been a while. I'm happy to get a couple today and hopefully it keeps flowing from now on.
"Today was an outstanding performance from start to finish."
Hudson-Odoi's second goal came from a floated shot from the flank that sailed over Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and into the net, but the winger jokingly played coy when asked whether the shot was intentional.
"It's a mix of both," he said. "Cross-shot, and it went in perfectly!"
