Palmeiras 1-0 Botafogo highlights: Paulinho's extra time strike wins all Brazilian affair

Paulinho was the toast of the Palmeiras Philadelphia party, after the substitute’s  strike in the 100th minute of a bruising last 16 tie saw his side advance 1-0 to the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final's at the expense of compatriots Botafogo.

In a game of 12 yellow cards and a sending off, Palmeiras dominated the majority of the contest and were deserved winners, as they record their first win over their rivals in six attempts.

They even managed to cling on in the final five minutes of extra time with 10 men, after their captain Gustavo Gomez was sent off for a second bookable offence.
