Phil Brown has managed at the very top of the football pyramid in his career, but he can't hide his excitement as Kidderminster Harriers head into the final stages of the season.
Brown is now boss of the National League North side, and they are currently embroiled in a promotion battle at the top of the table.
With less than a dozen games remaining, Kidderminster are sixth in the league, and speaking to Aaron McClean and Curly on this week's Multi-Match Live, Brown has full focus on the task in hand for the final weeks of the campaign.
He said: "I'm at the stage of the season where I think the big boys come to the party, you know.
"There are like 10, 12 games to go, the business end of the season, and I'm really looking around the changing room, and I'm looking at what I call matchday eyes, you know when I see people are actually excited about the game that's ahead of them and the challenges that are ahead of them.
"But the one thing that we have been doing over the last, oh, I don't know, five or six games is just starting to slow it down a wee bit, taking each game as it comes because sometimes you can get ahead of yourself.
"I think if anybody, I've been guilty of that in the last four or five games, I sort of got ahead of myself, wanted to get to the end of the season, wanted to get to that promotion, but there's a long way to go, a long way to go and there's a few challenges along the way, that's for sure."
Brown has seen it all as a manager, having been at Bolton during their Premier League heyday, leading Hull City to the promised land, and coached abroad. So, where would promotion with Kidderminster rank in his career highlights?
"It's another tick in the box," he added.
"It's another area where, at the start of my career as a manager and a coach, I always wanted to manage abroad, and I've ticked that box.
"I always wanted to manage at the highest level, which we all do, I've ticked that box. But where you end up, you can never plan your pathway. You can always pretend you can plan your pathway and get to the top and then take it from there, but you can never really plan it, and little curveballs come your way.
"And every so often, a challenge comes along, and I looked at this challenge with Dean Holdsworth, Director of Football - who was my assistant at Derby in 2005 - and it's just, it's not a dream come true, but it's something that's, I don't know, written in the stars say for instance.
"I'm just really looking forward to the end of the season to make sure that we can all hold ourselves together and conduct ourselves and business in the right manner."
