We are now into the thick of the Premier League's festive fixtures, with the halfway point of the 2025-26 season rapidly approaching.
A three-team group at the top of the table appears to be pulling away from the rest of the pack as Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa have emerged as the league's best trio ahead of Christmas.
Of course, there's still a long way to go and this week's matches could have some influence on the burgeoning title race.

As noted, Aston Villa's in the thick of the title race at this point of the campaign, as part of the breakaway pack at the top of the standings.
Just below the top three is Chelsea, with the London side sitting seven points behind Villa. The Blues have an opportunity to close the gap on Unai Emery's team when they face off in a post-Boxing Day showdown that could have a ripple effect on the title race as a whole.
A Chelsea win stops Villa from making up ground on Arsenal and Manchester City, while also potentially propelling the Blues closer to the top two. Meanwhile, a victory for Villa stops Chelsea from joining the lead pack.
