The 2026-27 Premier League season is just around the corner and it looks to be as exciting as ever.
With some of the best attacking talent applying their trade in England's top flight, the race for the Golden Boot always provides an interesting subplot to the season.
But who are some of the top contenders for this season's top scorer? DAZN News runs down who the leading contenders are.

The outstanding favourite for the Golden Boot this year is once again Erling Haaland.
And It's not hard to see why. The striking Viking has won it in three out of his four seasons in England, including last season, where he racked up 27 goals.
He is also coming off a hugely successful World Cup campaign with Norway, where he got seven goals.
The Norwegian will be playing under a new manager this time round, but he will still do what he does best: score goals.

The Swede made the switch to Liverpool last summer for big money, but endured a disrupted first season in red.
Isak missed the start of the season due to a lack of fitness from going on strike at Newcastle to force a move, and a broken leg further limited him to just 14 Premier League appearances.
However, the season before the forward was bagging goals for fun at Newcastle, scoring 22, which placed him behind only Haaland in that year's Golden Boot.
If Isak can recapture the form he found with the Magpies and stay injury-free, he may well be up there for the Golden Boot this year.

Pedro had a strong first season with the Blues, scoring 15 goals in the Premier League for a Chelsea side in turbulence.
This season, new manager Xabi Alonso will likely look to Pedro to be Chelsea's main source of goals.
With Chelsea not playing in any European competition, the Brazilian will likely start in the majority of Premier League matches, and with a supporting cast of Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers, is bound to get plenty of chances.

The striker has proven himself to be a reliable goalscorer in the Premier League over the years.
Since joining Villa in 2020, the Englishman has scored over 10 league goals in all of his campaigns.
He bagged 16 in the league last season and will be looking to improve on that number this time round.
Watkins is just nine goals away from joining the elusive Premier League 100 club, so the striker will be keen to reach that tally.

With Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa both departing last summer, a void was left up top for the Bees, but it was filled by Igor Thiago.
The Brazilian was one of the biggest surprise packages last term as he scored 22 goals, a total only bettered by Haaland.
Thiago joined in January 2025, and after overcoming a long-term injury, he became crucial for Brentford as they narrowly missed out on Europe.
With Brentford aiming to qualify for Europe again, Thiago's goals will be vital.
