There's a three-way tussle for the Premier League crown

David Seaman has predicted how he thinks the top three teams in the Premier League will finish this season.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are locked in a three-way battle at the top of the table, with Jurgen Klopp's men currently leading the way two points ahead of the Gunners and reigning champions City a further point pack in third place.

Following Arsenal's goalless draw at The Etihad last weekend, the Gunners legend told his podcast Seaman Says, proudly sponsored by Parimatch that he is backing his old club to come out on top.

“I think the top three in order will be Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City. Nobody’s even mentioning Arsenal as favourites for the title, and I like that,” Seaman said.

“I loved Arsenal’s performance against Man City on Sunday – I really, really enjoyed it. It was a proper defensive display. I would have taken a draw before the game.

“You've got to play effective football, which Arsenal did. With George Graham, we would play long ball football all the time. We would get criticised for it, but it was effective and we won. We won leagues, we won cups. Spurs were playing attractive football back then. And guess what they won?

“Don't give me all this, ‘oh yeah, you played really good football’. Really good football sometimes wins you nothing at all!”

Arsenal are next in action on Wednesday night when they host Luton Town at The Emirates.
