The Premier League season rumbles on this weekend with league leaders Arsenal once again being the focus in a derby match.

In the bottom half of the table, the likes of Tottenham, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United will all be hoping to pick up points in a relegation battle, which is becoming tighter every passing weekend.

Chelsea aim to spoil Arsenal title charge

Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the table with a win over arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and now they host another London rival, Chelsea, at the Emirates.

These two last met in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals earlier this month. Arsenal won 1-0, but it was an odd game.

Liam Rosenior implemented some interesting tactics, especially at set pieces to disrupt the Gunners, but his team played with the handbrake on.

Both teams have goals to play for, with Chelsea looking to secure Champions League football next season, and Arsenal pursuing a league title.

The Emirates will be rocking, but Rosenior has shown he can trouble the Gunners. The English coach needs to take the next step and allow his players to play with freedom and give themselves the best possible chance of winning.

Manchester City face tough trip to Leeds United

Manchester City travel to the cauldron that is Elland Road in Saturday’s late kick-off, and after their fixture at the Etihad, Leeds United could cause an upset.

In the 3-2 loss to City last November, Leeds manager Daniel Farke stumbled upon a 3-5-2 formation, which has since played a huge part in a good run of form that has given them a strong chance of staying up.

If the Whites are to stay in the Premier League, their home form is going to be crucial, and already, some of the so-called ‘Big Six’ have struggled.

City will be stepping into a hostile atmosphere under the Elland Road lights and will need to improve their second-half performances if they are to withstand a Leeds team, who will be relentless come kick-off.

Brighton and Nottingham Forest meet in relegation battle

Nottingham Forest will have plenty of positives to take from their 1-0 loss to Liverpool, but this trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday is a big one.

Brighton have found themselves being slowly sucked into the relegation battle, but the Seagulls seem to get points on the board when they are needed most.

The hosting of Forest will be another one of those moments, and they could take advantage of an opponent who will have played European football just two days before.

However, with Forest showing that they can still compete last weekend despite a trip to Turkey, the Reds will be up for the fight in a period where any slip-up could be fatal.

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor goes in search of first win against Fulham

Igor Tudor’s first game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur could not have gone any worse.

A comprehensive 4-1 loss to Arsenal in the North London derby showed that Tudor has a lot of work to do if he is to keep Spurs away from the unthinkable.

Up next is a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, who are just about staying in the race for some form of European football next season.

Two goals within the first 10 minutes saw Fulham beat Tottenham 2-1 in November, and with Spurs a wounded animal, Fulham will be full of confidence, especially with Harry Wilson enjoying a prolific season so far.
