Juventus 0-3 Real Madrid - Ronaldo's acrobatics

3 April 2018, quarter-final first leg

This meeting will always be remembered for that Cristiano Ronaldo bicycle kick.

The Portuguese forward flung himself in the air with the grace of a ballerina to meet Dani Carvajal's cross with aplomb.

Ronaldo had earlier opened the scoring with a stabbed finish before adding a contender for the greatest ever Champions League goal.

Paulo Dybala was sent off a couple of minutes later before Marcelo added a third to compound Juve's misery and hand Madrid a huge advantage in the tie.

Real Madrid 1-3 Juventus - Ronaldo the saviour

11 April 2018, quarter-final second leg

Madrid seemingly had one foot in the semi-finals after their comfortable victory in Turin, but Zinedine Zidane's side were in for a rude awakening on their return to the Bernabeu.

Juve flew out of the blocks and Mario Mandzukic headed in twice during the first-half before Blaise Matuidi was the beneficiary of an error by Keylor Navas to drag the visitors level on aggregate.

A stunned Bernabeu held its breath, but nothing could separate the sides until the game moved into stoppage time.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Cristiano Ronaldo, who initially won the penalty, dispatched the subsequent spot kick to send Real through and deny Juve a famous comeback.

Real Madrid 4-1 Juventus - Madrid retain 'Big Ears'

3 June 2017, final

Real Madrid cruised to victory in Cardiff to become the first team to retain the Champions League trophy, which is often referred to as 'Big Ears' because of its handles.

Cristiano Ronaldo set another record as the first player to score in three finals with a sweeping finish for the opener.

Juve hit back with a fine strike by Mario Mandzukic before Real regained control and Casemiro's deflected goal handed them the advantage.

Ronaldo then doubled his tally before Asensio added further gloss late on, while Juan Cuadrado was sent off for Juve.

Real Madrid 1-1 Juventus - Resilient Juve reach final

13 May 2015, semi-final second leg

Juve arrived in the Spanish capital with a slender 2-1 lead and under no illusions as to the task at hand.

Cristiano Ronaldo fired in from the penalty spot to hand Real the advantage on away goals, but the Bernabeu continued to bay for blood.

The defending champions produced 22 attempts on goal, but it was Juve who struck the decisive blow as Alvaro Morata volleyed in against his former side.

Madrid threw men forward in response, but Juve held on to reach their first Champions League final in 12 years.

Juventus 0-1 Real Madrid - Madrid end 32-year wait

20 May 1998, final

Six-time winners Real Madrid had not claimed the European title since 1966 when they arrived in Amsterdam to take on Juve in the 1997-98 final.

Their quest for a record seventh title finally ended after Predrag Mijatović's second-half strike earned them victory in the Netherlands.

Juve boasted several household names, including Edgar Davids and French duo Zinedine Zidane and Didier Deschamps, who would lift the World Cup trophy later that summer.

Marcello Lippi's side were unable to find the breakthrough, however, as Madrid clinched 'La Septima'.
