There are some big-name players in the Premier League who appear in need of a move to revitalise their careers.

Here, DAZN News selects five stars who could head for pastures new before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City)

Three years ago, Phillips left Leeds United and joined Manchester City in a big-money move. Not much has gone right since.

The man who became affectionately known as the ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’ at Elland Road struggled to make any real impact at City and has spent time on loan at West Ham and Ipswich in the past two seasons.

Phillips turns 30 in December and is crying out for a move somewhere – anywhere – to revive his career and rediscover the form which made him a fixture in the England side not so long ago.

A return to Leeds appears highly unlikely, but teams like Burnley and Brentford could see the value in taking Phillips on loan.

Jack Grealish (Manchester City)

Much like Phillips, Grealish is desperate for a new club to give him a new lease of life. He certainly has the talent.

Signed from Aston Villa for £100 million in the summer of 2021, the 29-year-old has gradually fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is writing a new chapter with new signings and Grealish is clearly surplus to requirements.

Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli have been mooted as potential destinations for the England playmaker.

Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United)

Could the Argentina winger be set for a move to Spurs as a replacement for the departing Son Heung-min?

Madrid-born Garnacho, 21, has been linked with a move to Chelsea after being frozen out of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford.

He was excluded from United’s recent tour of the USA and forced to train on his own, so a parting of the ways appears inevitable.

Jadon Sancho (Manchester United)

Sancho is one of several players deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester United and looks certain to leave this summer.

He has spent the last 18 months on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, but has failed to reignite his once-promising career.

A return to Dortmund has been mooted while Serie A giants Juventus and champions Napoli have also been credited with interest in Sancho.

Harvey Elliott (Liverpool)

Elliott is highly regarded at Anfield but appears ripe for a new challenge elsewhere to give him the regular game-time he craves.

His 2024-25 campaign ended with 28 appearances but totalled just 822 minutes played.

This resulted in a reduced return of five goals and three assists in all competitions, although he played a starring role in helping England Under-21s to a second successive European Championship title this summer.

Spurs, Brighton and Newcastle have all been linked with the gifted attacking midfielder.
