Ruben Amorim enjoyed a rare moment of triumph as Manchester United boss by describing the win over Liverpool as his greatest victory since he joined the club.
United became the latest club to pile on the misery for the Premier League champions, as they suffered a third league loss in a row with a 2-1 defeat to their old rivals, and a first win at Anfield for the Red Devils in nearly a decade.

Bryan Mbeumo gave the visitors the perfect start by opening the scoring inside the first 70 seconds at Anfield, and despite Cody Gakpo equalising in the second half, Harry Maguire found a winner six minutes from time to inflict a first home defeat on Liverpool for over 400 days.
It's the first time Amorim has won back-to-back games as United boss, and clearly delighted he told Sky Sports after the game that it was his finest moment he's had since taking charge.
He said, "I think that was the biggest win in my time at Manchester United. It means a lot today but tomorrow it won't mean a lot. It's three points and it's a good victory.
"We fought for every ball, we lost our composure in the second half but the spirit was there and that is the most important thing, if you have the spirit, you can win any game.
"It was a good day and now I am concerned about Brighton. I will enjoy it, but let's focus on Brighton."

Adding, "We just saw the game and knew how important our set pieces are and the guys that have more experiences are on in the beginning.
"Every time we play in this environment well, if you block well in the beginning you can feel the defence turning and we feel that in our stadium and all the big teams feel that. A good win.
"It will give us more confidence through the week and pleasure to our fans, they deserve it and that is in our hands. This is in the past, now it's time to look at the future."
United now host Brighton at Old Trafford next weekend, while Liverpool look to stop the rot when they travel to Brentford.Soccer fans in Canada can watch every Premier League match during the 2025-26 season on DAZN.
