Team news

Salzburg and Real Madrid meet in a pivotal final Group H encounter. The European duo both enter the match on four points and knowing that a victory will earn them top spot in the group. The Austrian side draw with Al Hilal in their last outing, while Real produced a gutsy 10-man victory over Pachuca.

Salzburg have a full squad available. Real Madrid will need to find solutions in defence to deal with the absence of suspended centre-back Raul Asencio, after his red card in the last match.

Who can qualify for the knockout phase?

What they said...

"We have two objectives for tomorrow: to win and top the group... and to feel good both with and without the ball. Now we want to do it with 11 players, against a dynamic and demanding opponent. What's clear to me is that we all have to defend. All eleven players on the pitch. Knowing how we want to press. Without that, it will be very difficult. Vini, Jude, Fede, Kylian, the defense... We have to improve our distances, and we're working on it."

on Mbappé: "I was glad to see him on the pitch. He's been fine, but not good enough to play tomorrow. With the level we're going to need, he'd rather be available for the round of 16. He's in the process of recovering."

Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid head coach

It is perhaps fitting that the first ticketed event at Lincoln Financial Field was the eye-catching friendly between European rivals Barcelona and Manchester United in August 2003, with Patrick Kluivert having the honour of scoring the venue’s first goal. Now home to NFL side Philadelphia Eagles, the impressive arena will host eight Club World Cup games and has also been selected to host five group-stage matches and a Round of 16 tie during the eagerly anticipated 48-team FIFA World Cup 26™.
