It was a weekend where Inter took full advantage as their title rivals dropped points around them and they are now the team to chase at the top of the Serie A table.

There were also big wins for Hellas Verona and Atalanta across the weekend, with Roma and Como still to play to round off the programme.

But the question is, who made our  Serie A  team of the week for matchday fifteen? Ash Rose takes his pick.

Alberto Paleari (Torino)

The Torino stopper kept Cremonese and Serie A Player of the Month Jamie Vardy at bay in his side's 1-0 win.

Paleari made three saves to secure the victory, including stopping a Federico Bonazzoli bicycle-kick that looked like it was destined to go into the back of the net.

Yann Bisseck (Inter)

Part of the Inter back three that managed to keep Genoa at bay as they recorded a business-like win away from home.

The defender also played his part in the attack as he netted the opening goal in the victory that took his team to the top of the league.

Davide Zappacosta (Atalanta)

The marauding wing-back made life difficult for Cagliari throughout Atalanta's 2-1 victory on Saturday.

So much so, they couldn't prevent Zappacosta from setting up one of the goals in the important win.

Davide Bartesaghi (Milan)

What a performance from the teenager on Milan's left-hand side in the 2-2 draw with Sassuolo.

Bartesaghi added to his already impressive string of displays for the Rossoneri this season by scoring both goals at the San Siro.

Juan Cabal (Juventus)

The Colombian is becoming a real match-winner off the bench for Juventus this season and was up to his old tricks again at Bologna.

The full-back was introduced on the hour mark and within minutes broke the deadlock for The Old Lady, with what turned out to be a vital winning goal again.

Jurgen Ekkelenkamp (Udinese)

The midfielder scored his first goal of the season as Udinese secured the biggest surprise of the weekend by beating champions Napoli.

The Dutch star also provided several openings for the hosts in what was an impressive outing for Ekkelenkamp.

Ismael Kone (Sassuolo)

Part of a midfield that worked tirelessly against Milan as Sassuolo secured a point at the San Siro on Sunday.

The Canadian international was also on target in the 2-2 draw with the Rossoneri.

Kenan Yildiz (Juventus)

The young Turkish star continues to be one of Serie A's standout stars and helped to secure the win over Bologna on Sunday night.

It was Yildiz's assist for Juan Cabal that secured the three points for Luciano Spalletti's men.

Lautaro Martinez (Inter)

El Toro makes the team of the week for the third straight round, proving he is the league's most in-form player right now.

The striker scored his eighth goal of the season in Inter's 2-1 win over Genoa, as well as assisting the opener for Yann Bisseck.

Gift Orban (Hellas Verona)

A season-defining win at Fiorentina for Verona was made possible by the display of forward Orban.

The on-loan striker scored both goals in the victory, including the 93rd-minute winner as he doubled his total for the season.

Gianluca Scamacca (Atalanta)

Atalanta’s upward turn in form has coincided with Scamacca's return to the team following injury, and he put in his best performance of the season against Cagliari.

The former West Ham striker netted both goals in the 2-1 victory.
