A standard Tuesday night Championship clash in Swansea was given a different flavour last night, as rap royalty Snoop Dogg got his long-awaited first taste of action at the Swansea.com stadium.

The legendary music artist became a minority owner of the Championship club in the summer alongside American television host Martha Stewart and Croatia international Luka Modric, and this was his first visit to South Wales for the Swans' clash with Preston North End.

Snoop arrived three-hours before the kick-off and was paraded to fans before the game to a scene of twirling scarves, which delayed the team's warm-up. The 54-year-old oversaw a game which saw Swansea score a 95th-minute equaliser to earn a share of the points with their visitors.

Over the years, the rapper has famously been seen sporting several team shirts, but has now pledged his allegiance to the Welsh club. He's not the only unlikely celebrity fan, either - check out these famous names who you may not know have declared their support for English clubs.

Tom Hanks (Aston Villa)

Villa may already boast the future King of England among their support base, but more impressively, everyone's favourite cowboy Tom Hanks, is also a fan of the Premier League club.

The Oscar-winning actor chose to follow Unai Emery's men, after hearing the name Aston Villa on TV and assuming it was a charming chocolate- box town, typically created in Hollywood.

Instead, he found a gritty, built-up part of Birmingham, but still he didn't run away from his choice and has stuck with the Villains as his team, even taking in a game or two at Villa Park.

Paul 'Triple H' Levesque (West Ham United)

Over the years, plenty of WWE Superstars have posed in football shirts, with the sight of John Cena in Tottenham colours chief among them.

More often than not, it's for publicity purposes - but there have been legitimate fans in the locker room, including Sheamus (Liverpool), Finn Balor (Spurs), Wade Barrett (Preston) and Rusev (Real Madrid), just to name a few.

However, did you know the main man himself, WWE's current head of creative Triple H, is also a Hammer?

After years of having a sledgehammer as part of his act, it was only natural that he would gravitate towards the London club and has, in recent times took to social media to declare his support for the team and even stuck his nose in on debates over Andy Carroll and Declan Rice.

The Game obviously knows game.

Hugh Jackman (Norwich City)

No song and dance about the Greatest Showman's choice of club, because while he might seem a strange leap for the Aussie A-lister to choose the Norfolk club, he actually has family ties to the Canaries.

Jackman has explained his support for the Championship side is down to his Mum being originally from Norwich, and he decided at a young age to follow them instead of a London team where his father was from because there were too many to choose from.

More recently, though, Jackman has been seen chumming it up with Hollywood pal Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham. Careful now, Wolverine.

Michael Jackson (Exeter City)

The King of Pop may be more famously remembered in football circles for his connection to Fulham, after all, the club had a stature of the singer outside Craven Cottage, but his football roots actually date back further.

In the early noughties, Jacko was actually made an honorary director of Exeter City, alongside David Blane and famous spoon-bender Uri Geller - imagine the fun in those board meetings.

The link-up wasn't exactly a Thriller, but Jackson did make an appearance in Devon in what was a rare moment in the international spotlight for the Grecians.

Russell Crowe (Leeds United)

A man who loves his sports, Crowe is co-owner of the Australian rugby league side South Sydney Rabbitohs, but is a big footy fan too.

So much so that the self-confessed Leeds fan was part of a consortium that was looking to buy the Yorkshire club back in 2015, even asking his huge social media following whether he should bid for the club.

While that takeover never came to fruition is always good to know a Gladiator has your back.

Julia Roberts (Manchester United)

Things haven't been too pretty for Manchester United in recent times, but that hasn't deterred one of Hollywood's most famous faces from becoming a fan of the Red Devils.

Her support is down to her sons love for 'soccer' and their apparent decision to choose United as their team of choice.

However, Roberts has shown some affection for her club, having attended Old Trafford and been pictured with several of the club's stars down the years.

Sylvester Stallone (Everton)

There isn't a better sporting on-screen story than Rocky, but when it comes to real-life sports teams, it's Everton that Sly champions.

The actor pledged his allegiance to the Toffees following a visit to the club in 2007 and later filmed scenes for his movie Creed at Goodison Park.

He's now hoping David Moyes and company can deliver a knockout blow to the rest of the Premier League.
