Spain and the Netherlands meet on Sunday for the second leg of their UEFA Nations League quarter-final, after the teams battled to a dramatic 2-2 draw in the first leg.
The Spaniards took an early lead in Thursday's match, played in Rotterdam, but the hosts fought back with goals in the 28th and 46th minute to claim the advantage. However, Mikel Merino brought his club form into the international match as the Arsenal midfielder-turned-striker scored in the third minute of stoppage time to assure that the sides head into the second leg on equal footing.
The Netherlands will be without Jorrel Hato for Sunday's deciding game, as the young defender was shown a red card late in the first leg and will miss out due to suspension.
