Just over two weeks on from their previous encounter, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will meet again.
This time the clubs will face off in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals, which will take place in North London. Spurs will be hoping for a different result than the last time these teams met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, when Liverpool came away with a 6-3 Premier League victory just before Christmas.
Now in a new year and a different competition, Tottenham will look to go against form as they have lost three of their last four games, while the Reds haven't suffered a defeat of any kind in months.
Liverpool hold the advantage in all-time meetings, with 91 wins in 184 matches.

"Our league results have been poor, there is no hiding from that. It is a separate competition [Wednesday] night. We have done well to get to the semi-final stage. We’ve beaten both Manchester clubs to do that. It hasn’t been an easy road to the semi-finals. We’ve got an opponent that has been the standout team in all competitions. So it is a great test for us, but it is a semi-final first leg and should be exciting. I am looking forward to it."

"I think what we expect before we go into the game is that two teams have such a clear identity and playing style, that is I think what most people expect to see [Wednesday] again as well. They have their identity, we have our own identity, and both teams trying to force that identity towards the other."
Tottenham's injury situation will continue to be a huge talking point, but Liverpool won't care. The Reds should come away winners, potentially in another high-scoring match.
Prediction: Tottenham 2-3 Liverpool
