One of the biggest beneficiaries of Thomas Tuchel keeping the same names in his October squad has been the AC Milan midfielder.
Loftus-Cheek was a late call-up for September's camp, making his first England squad in six years, but it meant that he was included in the party for this month's games.
Even better for the former Chelsea man is that he actually got some minutes against Wales, too. He came on as a second-half substitute in the 3-0 win to earn his first cap since 2018.
Competition is fierce in that midfield area, but it looks like Loftus-Cheek's previous working relationship with Tuchel has given him a major in, and if keeps up his decent start to the season in Milan, don't rule out a World Cup squad berth.
The same can't be said, unfortunately, for Loftus-Cheek's teammate at the San Siro, however.
The centre-half is yet to be picked by coach Thomas Tuchel and at this stage, it would be a big surprise if he was included in November's squad.
That's not to say Tomori isn't deserving. The defender remains one of the Rossoneri's first-choice centre-backs, but having not played for his country since 2023, it would probably take a wrath of injuries in England's backline for the 27-year-old to force his way back in.
There's no doubting McTominay's role in Steve Clarke's Scotland team, with the midfielder having taken his Napoli form into the national side and become a Talisman for the Scots. But, the question is, will Scotland actually get there?
Thursday night's win over Greece was massive for Clarke's men and puts them level on points in Group C with leaders Denmark. If they record another victory on Tuesday against Belarus, then it will be all to play for across November's games, when they travel to Greece and finish at home against the Danes.
McTominay's Napoli teammate, Gilmour, was also involved against the Greeks, coming on as a second-half sub.
The midfielder is another player pretty much guaranteed a place on the plane if Scotland make it to their first World Cup finals since 1998.
He may not be an automatic starter for the Scots, but it would only take a major injury to rule him out.

Played and scored in the 3-1 win over Greece, Ferguson is another nailed-on member of Steve Clarke's squad.
It was the Bologna midfielder's first goal for his country and tops off a breakout year for the national team, where he has won seven caps to put his total up to 19 following his comeback from a knee injury.
The Torino striker has staked his claim for the striker's place, with another start against Greece, and has hit four goals from six outings in 2025 for Scotland.
Adams faces competition from Lyndon Dykes and Lawrence Shankland for that starting berth, but if he keeps performing for Clark, there's no question he'll be on the plane if Scotland make it to the World Cup in 2026.
Ferguson has made a promising start to life in Roma, with Irish fans hoping it can reboot the young striker following a downward turn in form for his club.
He has, however, still been one of Ireland's key men, having scored in both games during September and is likely to start against Portugal on Saturday.
Whether Ireland will be in the US, Mexico, and Canada remains to be seen. They have a crucial game with Armenia on Tuesday that they'll need to win if they have hopes of earning a play-off place in their group.
