Despite the fact that Floyd Mayweather said goodbye to professional boxing five years ago, there is no current fighter who can overshadow what "Money" did in the ring according to former world champion Adonis Stevenson.

He even maintained, in an interview with DAZN, that the Grand Rapids fighter is still king of the pound-for-pound fighters despite the fact that there are names like Errol Spence, Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford, Oleksandr Usyk, Naoya Inoue.

"The pound-for-pound king is Floyd Mayweather. Errol Spence is good, I think if he's one of the best pound-for-pound because the more I see him boxing the better he is. Listen to me, he will be one of the pound-for-pound kings," Stevenson said.

Stevenson has made no secret about being an avid boxing follower and admitted that there are times when he spends his hours watching fights and analysing the boxers coming up and projecting who can make it to the top, regardless of the division.

Despite all the footage Stevenson has seen, he admitted that while it might sound like a fantasy match-up, he would like to see two of the current pound-for-pound best fighters in the ring.

"Canelo is very good too, he's had some great fights. I'd like to see them (Canelo and Spence) both in the ring if they were the same weight. Spence is an excellent fighter... I know he'll be pound-for-pound, mark my words."
