Oleksandr Usyk’s superior conditioning will be a huge asset if the Ukranian wizard faces Tyson Fury. That’s the opinion of Sergey Lapin, the manager of Usyk, who’s guided his man to the highest platform at heavyweight.

Speculation has grown in recent weeks regarding a potential showdown between Usyk and Fury as each fighter refuses to confirm their next move. Many within the boxing industry are of the belief that Fury’s advantage in size would be too much for Usyk, but Papin says his man possesses the necessary stamina to make Fury feel the pace in the fight.

“As for a potential fight with Fury. Fury has an advantage in size, and he is mobile and fast for a boxer with his size, but there is one thing” said Lapin when speaking to MyBettingSites.

“The biggest problem with these huge heavyweights is their condition in 12-round confrontations. The pace of the fight that Alexander sets, the huge heavyweights of today will not be able to stand.

“Fury has a very uncomfortable boxing technique, but for Fury to deliver his series of blows, he will need to spend a lot of effort, and this will be his undoing. The weight and height advantage in this fight does not matter for Usyk, he adapts to any opponent. Observers of world boxing will soon see how Usyk will restore order in the heavyweight division.”
