Five takeaways from the Baltimore Ravens defeating the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football

A Monday Night Football matchup featuring two powerhouse AFC teams and their head coaching siblings in the Harbaughs ended with the Baltimore Ravens producing a 30-23 road win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Here, DAZN News highlights five takeaways from the Ravens' big victory.

John Harbaugh was gutsy on 4th down and it paid off

The Ravens' decision to twice go for it on fourth down — deep in their own territory — turned into a pair of touchdowns.

During the first half, the Ravens went for it on 4th & 1 from their own 16-yard line by using a sneaky direct snap to tight end Mark Andrews. He got the first down and that same drive resulted in a 40-yard touchdown hookup between Lamar Jackson and Rashod Bateman.

Then, late in the third quarter, the Ravens faced a 4th & 1 — this time from their own 39 — and Derrick Henry broke out this 27-yard rush. 

That drive later resulted in a fourth-quarter touchdown pass from Jackson to Andrews as the Ravens never looked back.

That's two fourth down play calls from within their own territory turned into touchdowns. 

We should just call Lamar Jackson Mr. Monday Night Football

The ball don't lie. All the reigning NFL MVP has done throughout his career on MNF is put on a show. 

The Ravens' win over the Chargers had him throwing for 177 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for another TD as part of his dazzling three-touchdown performance.

That adds to his totals above. Perhaps most startling is the zero interceptions he has thrown across nine games.

Derrick Henry had himself another 100 yards-plus rushing game

The veteran running back responded with his sixth game of 100 yards-plus rushing this season.

Henry rushed for 140 yards on 24 carries with his high run coming on that dynamite 4th & 1, where he rumbled for 27 yards.

And for a second it looked just like that. However, once he juked and evaded that first tackle, Hill was gone.

The fourth-quarter touchdown put the game out of reach for the Ravens as their insurance TD.

Beautiful sentiments between the siblings and two of the better coaches in the NFLs. For the Ravens, they'll host the hot Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in a matchup that will pit Lamar Jackson against Jalen Hurts, while featuring Derrick Henry against Saquon Barkley.

Meanwhile, the Chargers, fresh off having their four-game win streak snapped, will visit the Atlanta Falcons as Baltimore and LA move on from the head-to-head Harbaughs bowl.
