Round 1 kicks off at 1am BST on Friday, April 24, with all 32 first-round picks set to be made before the sun rises.

Round 1 starts at 1am BST / 8pm ET / 5pm PT, where Fernando Mendoza, Jeremiyah Love and Carnell Tate will hear their names called and take their first steps toward NFL stardom.

This year, for the first time in NFL history, each team has eight minutes to make their pick once they go on the clock in the first round..

That's two minutes fewer than last year, and seven minutes less than the 15-minute first timer in the first round back in the 2008 NFL Draft.

In theory, if every team used their full allocation of eight minutes, the first round would last four hours and 16 minutes, meaning a maximum finish time of around 5:16am BST.

In reality, teams rarely burn the full clock. Picks tend to come in faster, particularly when teams are locked in on a specific prospect.
