The Minnesota Vikings won on Sunday to climb back to .500, but they may have lost their starting quarterback in the process.

Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell confirmed after Minnesota's 24-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers that veteran QB Kirk Cousins had suffered an Achilles injury late in Sunday's game. Moments later, ESPN's Adam Schefter posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Cousins' injury was actually a torn Achilles.

The Vikings had already scored all 24 of their points by the time Cousins was injured, and rookie QB Jaren Hall took the remainder of the snaps for Minnesota.

Cousins, 35, played six seasons in Washington before joining the Vikings in 2018.
