Dallas Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland tragically passes away at age 24

The Dallas Cowboys have issued a statement, sharing the tragic news that 24-year-old edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland passed away earlier today.

"It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning.

"Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family."

Kneeland's agent, Jonathan Perzley, of Sportstars, Inc., shared a heartfelt message on social media.

The heartbreaking news comes just days after the defensive lineman, who Dallas drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, scored his first professional touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals when he scooped up a blocked punt in the end zone.

The NFL also paid tribute to the young star.
