The Super Bowl isn’t just the NFL’s biggest game of the year, it’s the ultimate mash-up of sports and entertainment.
Running alongside the championship showdown is the iconic halftime show, which features the biggest names in the music industry.
Super Bowl LX will be no different, as a worldwide superstar is set to take the stage at the upcoming event.
Here is a look at what to expect from this season's show, which can be seen live on DAZN (excluding U.S. and China).
This season's Super Bowl halftime show will be headlined by Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny.
The 31-year-old teased the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account moments before officially announcing himself as the headliner of the halftime show, which will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Born and raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny has become one of the biggest music artists in the world since his debut in 2016.
A rapper and singer who performs mostly in Spanish, Bad Bunny became the first artist to have an all-Spanish language album reach the top of the Billboard 200 charts in the United States with his 2020 release El Último Tour Del Mundo. All three of his subsequent albums have also reached No. 1 on Billboard, including his 2025 release Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
Aside from traditional album sales, Bad Bunny is a global force as one of the most-streamed music artists in the world, with the 31-year-old holding the title of most-streamed artist on Spotify from 2020 to 2022, second-most in 2023, and third-most in 2024.
Bad Bunny's worldwide appeal has also led to crossover success in other aspects of the entertainment industry. He made his feature film debut in 2021 in F9, the tenth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise. Bad Bunny has since appeared in several big screen productions, many under his real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, including Bullet Train, Happy Gilmore 2 and Caught Stealing.
His acting roles haven't been limited to the big screen either, as Bad Bunny has appeared television productions such as Narcos: Mexico and several episodes of Saturday Night Live (as host and/or musical guest).
However, his most prominent television roles have come as an active wrestler in WWE, where the lifelong wrestling fan has lived out his dream by participating in matches on WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, Royal Rumble and even at WrestleMania 37. In 2023, Bad Bunny was a featured performer at WWE Backlash, which was held in his native Puerto Rico, against compatriot Damian Priest.
Bad Bunny will be the first solo Latin headliner in a halftime show when he takes the stage at Super Bowl LX, but it won't be the first time he's performed at the NFL's annual extravaganza.
He was also a part of Shakira's set during the latter's co-headline act with Jennifer Lopez in 2020, performing portions of hit songs "I Like It" and "Callaíta" alongside the Colombian singer.
Ratings reported by Nielsen state that the 2025 halftime show, headlined by rapper Kendrick Lamar, was the most-watched of all time with an average of 133.5 million viewers across TV and digital platforms in the United States. That surpassed Michael Jackson's iconic 1993 performance, which drew 133.4 million viewers in the U.S.
Recent years have seen an upward trend in Super Bowl halftime show viewership, with R&B icon Usher (2024) and pop superstar Rihanna (2023) both landing in the top five.
This season’s Super Bowl - the 60th editon - takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Super Bowl LX will take place in a familiar venue, as Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California will be the home for upcoming game.
The San Francisco 49ers' home has hosted the NFL's biggest game once before, in 2016.
