The path to victory on Sunday for the Washington Commanders to defeat the Dallas Cowboys, which can be seen with NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excl. the US and China), just got more difficult.

It's been revealed that Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel is out of Sunday's game due to a bruised heel, which has been affecting him in the last two games. Samuel being out of the game now means the Commanders will be without their three top wideouts as Terry McLaurin is inactive for the fourth straight game with a quad injury, and Noah Brown's been put on injured reserve after already missing four games in a row with a groin injury.

Samuel has been the main recipient of Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota since the injuries to Brown and McLaurin, securing 18 receptions for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the last three games. He appeared to be having a hard time in Monday's 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears, only catching four balls for 15 yards.

So for this season, Samuel leads the Commanders with 34 receptions for 315 yards and three touchdowns.

Daniels will now have to rely on second-year receiver Luke McCaffrey, rookie Jaylin Lane, veterans Chris Moore, and tight end Zach Ertz. They can also move up Robbie Chosen and the recently signed Treylon Burks.
