George Groves believes that Oleksandr Usyk boasts superior boxing abiltiy over his potential next fighter Tyson Fury.
Fury and Usyk are usually ranked as the top two in the heavyweight division, but both of them are considered credible pound-for-pound boxers, with Usyk learning his trade at cruiserweight and Fury only making the most of his size and strength advantages in recent fights.
Groves, a former super middleweight champion, thinks that the Ukrainian unified champion boasts superior skills in the ring.
Speaking to Boxing UK, Groves explained: “I’m such an Usyk fan.
“I don’t know if he is big enough to challenge Fury if Fury’s really on it and up for it.
“But, when it comes to ability, Usyk’s the best heavyweight in the world by a country mile, in my opinion.
Usyk and Fury are expected to meet in the ring to settle the question of undisputed heavyweight , and Groves thought it was a tough prediction to make, saying: “I don’t know. I’ll just go Usyk because I’m an Usyk fan boy.”
