Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul, it's a fantasy fight which appears to be edging ever closer to reality.
In recent months rumours have intensified surrounding a potential deal with Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn even hinting that the contest is in the works.
Paul is a divisive character in the sport of boxing, but he does bring a huge audience to the sport.
However, his boxing career has mostly consisted of cherry picking opponents, including his most recent win in June which came against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
While a meeting with Joshua would generate unimaginable money, there is legitimate concern about the ever lasting effects such a brutal puncher like Joshua could have on 'The Problem Child'.
Already the boxing world has seen what happens when someone making the crossover into boxing faces Joshua in the form of Francis Ngannou who earned his chance to face the two-time world heavyweight champion last year after a credible effort against Tyson Fury.
This particular fight was a short one for Ngannou who was knocked down three times before being finished off by Joshua in the second round.
Asked to give his thoughts on the Paul fight on DAZN's Ariel x Ade, Joshua's current trainer Ben Davison explained why this is a completely different situation compared to when AJ faced Ngannou.
"Francis Ngannou was more qualified after his fight with Tyson Fury to box Anthony Joshua," Davison said.
"For Jake Paul to go in against Anthony Joshua, just picture that situation, what we saw against Francis Ngannou and then picture Francis Ngannou vs Jake Paul. Even just from a physical standpoint in itself.
"There’s talk of Jake being more qualified than Ngannou, Francis Ngannou has the better boxing performance hands down with the Tyson Fury fight. Make of that what you will."
Joshua is rumoured to return towards the end of the year after recovering from an injury with links to a possible meeting with Tony Yoka after he signed with Queensberry Promotions.
There have even been suggestions Joshua should face Moses Itauma after his knockout win against Dillian Whyte on Saturday night, but with both men trained by Davison, it is very unlikely this 'Battle of Britain' will materialise.
