DAZN News rounds-up up boxing's biggest stories for Tuesday, March 31.
Ryan Garcia has dropped a big hint that his next fight could be against Teofimo Lopez.
‘King Ry’ won the WBC welterweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios in February and it is yet to be confirmed who his first defence will be against.
However, in an interview with Creators Think Podcast, Garcia indicated who his next opponent may be.
He said: “I’m out here fighting Devin Haney, Tank Davis, now I’m about to fight Teofimo Lopez. I’m fighting everybody that’s in front of me.”
Matchroom Boxing have confirmed that Dmitry Bivol will defend his light heavyweight titles against Michael Eifert on May 30.
Bivol hasn’t fought since he gained revenge for his defeat to Artur Beterbiev with a majority decision victory in February 2025 to claim all four major belts at 175lbs.
Having been stripped of the WBC belt last year, Bivol still holds the WBA, WBO and IBF straps and Eifert is the mandatory for the latter title.
A deal has finally been reached after lengthy negotiations between the two fighters and the bout is set to take place in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Claressa Shields is backing Caroline Dubois to go on and become undisputed champion after the latter’s unification match this weekend.
Dubois takes on domestic rival Terri Harper for the WBO and WBC lightweight world titles on Sunday and Shields thinks it could be just the beginning of a long reign for the Londoner.
"I am so proud of Caroline. I'm like her biggest fan," Shields told Sky Sports. "I see a lot of myself in her. And I have talks with her and I'm just so happy she's getting the big fights."
"Being undisputed champion is hard to do. I believe she can do that. But I also believe that she can be multiple weight world champion,.
