Haney blasts Davis for Cruz rematch

Devin Haney has put Gervonta Davis on blast for his decision to pursue a rematch with Isaac Cruz as he returns in 2026.

'Tank' saw his career implode again amid fresh legal matters, having been arrested and released in January this year.

The two-weight champion is now plotting a return against Cruz, but Haney believes it is the wrong bout to chase for him.

"[It] is a fight no one asked for," he said on Inside the Ring. "I do think it will be a good fight, but that no one asked for."

Nicolson to launch new Matchroom wave

Skye Nicolson will help launch a new Matchroom wave across her native Australia when she faces Mariah Turner in Melbourne.

The former WBC featherweight champion dropped to super-bantamweight following last year's first pro loss to Tiara Brown.

Three straight wins has seen her capture the WBC interim strap, and the star has ambitions to target a full crown soon too.

First however, she will be the headliner for a stacked domestic card next month as Eddie Hearn kicks off a new deal down under.

Huni adds Arnold before Clarke test

Justis Huni has tapped respected domestic coach Josh Arnold to lead his team before his heavyweight bout with Frazer Clarke.

The two men will meet on the undercard of Tyson Fury's comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov next month in London.

Huni had previously promoted the late Keri Fiu to trainer after his first pro loss against Fabio Wardley, before the latter's passing.

Now Arnold will step in to lead matters per Boxing Scene, having earned kudos for his work with Michael Zerafa and Ben Mahoney.
