DAZN News rounds-up up boxing's biggest stories for Tuesday, February 24.

Mayweather and Pacquiao announce September rematch

Boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have announced that they will fight each other once more, as first reported by The Ring's Mike Coppinger.

Taking place on September 19, at the Las Vegas Sphere, Mayweather and Pacquiao will clash more than 11 years after their first meeting.

That particular contest failed to live up to expectations with Mayweather winning comfortably by unanimous decision.

The announcement has been met with a mixed response, but come the opening bell, do not be surprised if the whole boxing world is watching.

Hearn slams 'classless' Benn

The fallout of Conor Benn's move from Matchroom to Zuffa Boxing continues, with Barry Hearn the latest to give his view.

Appearing on talkSPORT, Hearn did not hold back and criticised the manner in which Benn went about making this move with the fighter not even giving Barry's son, Eddie, a phone call to give him the heads up.

"It’s a classless way of doing it,” Hearn said.

“You have to bear in mind we took a lot of bullets over this. We took a lot of stick, the reputation of our company, our personal reputations when we went to a guy who had failed a drug test twice and we said, ‘No, we believe in him.’ We stood in his corner, as I would always expect Matchroom to do because we have high standards but those standards have not been reciprocated.

"That is deeply upsetting, and it is personal. We loved the kid; we’d been with him from day one.”

Inoue vs. Nakatani confirmed for May 2 in Tokyo

The big fight announcements keep on coming with the all-Japanese showdown between undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue and Junto Nakatani confirmed for May 2.

As first reported by Coppinger, the bout will take place at the Tokyo Dome in what is the biggest fight in Japanese boxing history.

For fight fans around the world, it will be the perfect start to a busy day of the sweet science with David Benavidez and unified cruiserweight champion Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez going head-to-head later that day.

Zuffa Boxing attempts to get British Boxing Board of Control approval

Dana White's Zuffa Boxing continues to establish itself as a serious disruptor with the organisation recently contacting the British Boxing Board of Control to recognise their titles.

When Boxing Scene contacted the BBBofC, General Secretary Robert Smith confirmed the board had spoken to a UK representative for Zuffa about their belt being recognised, but no formal request was made.

This move from Zuffa should serve as no surprise with White constantly reiterating that he will not work with boxing's traditional sanctioning bodies.
